Tulips

Not ours - these are in our neighbours' garden. I had a very frustrating morning doing paperwork and battling with a printer (again, not ours) so this afternoon I decided I needed something satisfying to get stuck in to.

I remembered our neighbours had a couple of fish boxes, buried under a tangle of nettle roots, that they wanted dug out so they could put the ground down to grass, so armed with spade and fork, I set to. Hard going, but definitely worth it! Lovely soil underneath, full of earthworms. Will make a super bit of lawn, one day! Decided I'd earned myself some of my birthday stash of chocolate to celebrate!
