Shadows at Last

Hooray! 21° with shadows! Perfect for lounging outside with leg elevated looking over newly manicured lawns with the warm breeze rustling the leaves on the trees and the distant sound of happy voices in the Meadows. No clouds to sully the blue sky - at last we in Edinburgh get to savour our own small heatwave.

I had a yearning this morning for a jar of Waitrose’s own Essential Peanut butter and by dint of getting a bus to Morningside to buy it, discovered it wasn’t available. With disappointment writ large on my countenance but wanting to make the journey appear worthwhile, I bought instead a stash of Waitrose’s own paracetamol. You couldn’t make it up!

Another short bus trip and I managed a free coffee at Costa in Bruntsfield before being homeward bound.

That is the sun total of my exertions today- how are the mighty felled!
