Catherine Le Pelley Steps…

These are very close to home but I haven’t been up or down them for months; instead walking around on the road. Today I decided to walk up and I was very pleasantly surprised to find they were much less steep than I expected. Walking down would be another challenge I’m not ready for. 
I think it might be time to consider a bus trip to the north of the island where I could have a decent walk on flat ground ( or road). I once considered buying a house down in the north (it’s lower than the south/east so we would never say ‘up north’!) and I would like a wander around the lanes where the house is to see how it has changed.
