Summer Solstice Supper

We picked up a chicken cutlet sandwich at our favorite Italian deli and headed to the beach to eat and enjoy the view. Temperatures were about 83F and dry - so nice.  Water temperature is about 80F today too.  This beach has very limited parking so not at all crowded even during the day - getting one of the spots is the real trick.  A few more in Extra. I think the black winged bird is an American Oystercatcher.  He had a long red beak and was skimming the surface of the water in the area where the waves broke. Fascinating.  The sailboat always reminds me of the poem by VanDyke, Gone From My Sight and the breakwater was creating some very interesting waves, none of which I caught.
