Growing on a patch of waste ground

Wild poppies don't need good soil ..... they will flourish wherever the seeds fall and bring a splash of colour to the edges of fields, hedgerows, grass verges and even the top of sand dunes.

It was almost too warm for playing badminton this morning but we managed three games before I succumbed to fatigue. Only one more Wednesday game before our summer break.
