When is Summer?

A damp and misty morning, with a dry windy afternoon.  Rain and mist tonight, still windy. 

Another day off, and up fairly early.  I eventually got out walkies with Sammy, when the drizzle cleared.  Eve is home for a bit, so spent the afternoon down at Laura's.  A lazy evening at home, due to the weather.  Good news today for any women wanting to join in a squad for Up Helly Aa.  The Victorian men on the committee have allowed women to join in a squad and be part of the celebration next year. Not before time!

After being away on holiday, and having some proper summer weather, I had a few days home to enjoy the same here, unfortunately that's not been the case.  Granddad Mitchell's old saying seems to be true again this year, nine months of winter, and three months of sh*te.  I was hoping to get some hiking done, some work in the peat hill, basically enjoy time outside.  I'm sure when the sun does return, all will be forgiven.  Taken on our afternoon walkies, Vestinore, Cunningsburgh.
