A Bundle of Energy

L found somewhere to get a horse ride while we are in the Dolomites. Although it was fairly gentle hack she ended up on the Val Gardena downhill skiing course, high above the valley.

I kicked my heals back at the stables until I saw this three week old colt foal blasting around the paddock while his mother grazed nearby. He was also intent on trying to jump up with his front legs onto his mother’s back; she soon put him right on his behaviour.

It started to rain just as L returned but dried up in the afternoon, allowing us a short walk.
