Summer trails
The absolute joy of summer (finally) arriving in all of its glory!
It was already warm by 9am this morning so we took shelter with our mentees in the shade of the big tree in a local church for our charcoal artwork. The upside of this is that the church ladies brought out squash for the young people which was entirely cute! The artwork was brilliant and I’m amazed at what they were able to create!
I had a wonderful productive time in the office for the rest of the day and ticked off some things that have been plaguing my to-do list for far too long.
Ended the working day with a lovely zoom meeting with some of the college staff, to learn and pray together. It was a precious time.
Then, because we love to suffer in the heat, Romy (aka Ali) and I ran up Rodney’s Pillar. Despite the heat, it was a glorious run. The beauty of Rodney’s is all of the woodland on the descent, which tonight was beautiful with all of its dappled sunlight. It was a real delight.
