Heading north

We left Aberdeen today and headed north. First stop was Haddo House, the home of the Earls of Aberdeen for over 500 years, now National Trust of Scotland. The house is 1740s with Victorian style formal bedding.

Then on to Gordon Castle, the spiritual home of Clan Gordon. We spent most of our time in the newly planted walled garden (extra), learning about how to design and plant a garden for fruit, vegetables, herbs and cut flowers. Plenty of clouds around but warm and the sun is intense when it is out. We are now in Inverness.
