Giant Caterpillar

It was time to harvest the grapes on our vine today - Zoe held the bucket as I dropped about 10 kilos of grapes. She also spotted this giant caterpillar - it is difficult to show its size but it was about 10 cm long and very fat. I tried to identify it but it seems there are so many similar looking caterpillars it proved tricky though it seems likely to be a large moth larvae. Anyway, it added some interest to the job of removing grapes. Now just need to get all the wine making equipment out and prepare to make more wine!
