Extra for Vince193…..

It was a glorious day, very hot and sunny, blue skies, colours vibrant! Walked here at the loch because I knew I could get the pictures of the Tiger beetle for the extra. They love the sandy  track  and have holes at the side where they can leap out and capture prey. There were Crested Tits and lots of Warblers and a Heron and a Cuckoo, who was hiccoughing away!
Later walked behind the house and in the flower meadow found eight species of butterflies including the rare ones, Northern Brown Argus, Small. Copper, Small Heath, Small White, Small Pearl bordered Fritillary, Ringlet, Meadow Brown and Common Blue!
