Star of the Show!
But I am biased! We weren’t allowed to take photos at Lucy’s dancing show
so I had to wait till she was ready for bed. She did so well, remembered all the steps and sequences and we could see she was in her element up there on the stage in a tutu and sequins. Up to now it’s always been Amelia in the limelight with her ice skating so it was good for Lucy to have her turn.
It was a very professional show and the costumes were amazing. The theme was music from 1930’s through to the 2000’s. There was the Charleston, ballet, tap, highland dance and street dance. We all really enjoyed it.
The girls didn’t get to bed till 10pm and it’s a school night but they are always early risers and one late night won’t do them any harm.
The extra is Frank and Amelia having a serious conversation.

Just Dance!
What can bring more joy
than watching children dance
whether it be in Britain,
Africa, China or France
it’s universal, the whole world over
dancing to the beat
smiles on all those faces
and just watch those little feet
and bendy bodies moving
in time with each other
ballet, tap, street dance, jive
friends, sisters and brothers
whenever there is time
whenever you have the chance
just grab your sons and daughters
and dance, dance, dance!

Sweet Dreams
The children are in bed now
sleeping through their dreams
of guinea pigs and princesses
of cartwheels and ice creams
such innocence in those heads
story books, games and toys
how I wish this for every child
a life brimming over with joy
Goodnight ;-)X
