Sweet williams

Soup-making this morning. Not the best activity for the hottest day of the year so far, but some of it is required for later in the week. An early lunch - yes, some of the soup - and then to Alnwick with MrM to take the van to the garage yet again. We walked from there, on the outskirts of the town, in to the centre and did a little shopping. Among other things, MrM bought some egg poachers, for his continuing quest to make the perfect poached egg. We shall see...

After having a coffee, and cake for MrM, we were contemplating whether to go to Barter Books when the garage phoned to say the van was ready. We walked bad to collect the van and drove home - Barter Books next time, hopefully!
