An Early Bloom….

One of our neighbours, whose property abuts our driveway, has a large camellia tree which is smothered in pink flowers. A very early bloomer. Such a treat to see on a dull, cloudy, grey, chilly day. Low cloud and some drizzle. Such a shame on New Zealand’s first ever special public holiday celebrating Matariki and Māori New Year. There were special events and celebrations all around New Zealand. It felt very special, made so as it is the first indigenous event in the world. …. Well done all those folk who worked to make our special day. Arohanui. Kia kaha.
