Grey Heron
The young one was waiting on top of the dovecote this morning. She flew down and ran over towards the gate to meet me. She had a good feed of whitebait, however we were quite close to the road and a backfire from a motorbike sent her flying back to the loch. She landed at the edge of the loch and was watching for me coming. I gave her some more whitebait then went looking for the youngest one. Halfway round I heard an almighty call and the male burst through the trees flashing his crest feathers. I gave him some whitebait as well and a bit of pollock. I eventually got to the spot where the youngest one hangs out and she was straight over for a feed.
The Crows got a mix of biscuits and whitebait.
