Happy lift

Drove Mum to Nottinghamshire today, to visit her sister, my auntie, Pat.  We set out a little before 11am, but didn't get there until 4pm - with only about a half hour stop on the way.  Its just a very long way!  Had a lovely visit with Pat though, and met a couple of lovely ladies, her neighbours who do loads for her (including helping prepare sandwiches, etc, for us today).  The both stayed long enough to say hello and one for a cup of tea, but then left us to it.  We stayed until nearly 7pm, then, after many hugs, drove to the University of Nottingham campus, to stay in a hotel there.  Very well equipped with a ceiling hoist for Mum - so I took over her carer duties, helping her get ready for, and into, bed. Had a little wander round the lovely grounds outside the hotel, and called Tim while I did so.  Very ready for a damn good sleep not too long after that!
