man, wife, dog :-)

Sarah and Chris were married today in a simple but lovely ceremony at the Dumfries Registry Office. They promised to be with each other for life and "to the exclusion of all others". 

Joanna arrived on our doorstep with a beautiful flower crown for Sarah to wear, made with Alchemilla, daisies, orange blossom and roses. She wore the crown all day, even when we went shopping in Morrisons after the marriage. We popped into the lovely Circle Vintage shop on Bank Street and the owners took a photo of Sarah and Chris for their Instagram story and I bought an outfit for Part Two of the wedding which is taking place in our garden in August. Today we had only D, me, and Chris's Mum and Stepfather as guests/witnesses. Sarah and Chris treated us all to a tasty lunch at La Dolce Vita after the ceremony and then we all came back here for tea in the garden.

Jess couldn't be at the wedding but she loved being a part of this special day.
