WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Weather

I was watching the trees swaying about in the quite strong wind, it's so relaxing to watch.
It’s been mostly sunny but also cloudy and windy and one heavy downpour for about 10 minutes.
The girls were playing with the dolls again all morning then John took them out for the afternoon to Ayr to meet Susan and Tim. Susan was their childminder but left the area once both children were at school. They are like an extra set of grandparents and Amelia and Lucy love them. They had fun on the beach by all accounts and went for a paddle and flew kites.
I didn’t go as was trying to organise my travel home. That was stressful as all journeys were either booked up or extortionately expensive. I normally pay less than £30 but they had been put up to £190! I gave up as it gave me a headache. When I tried again later I found a ticket for £22.50
so I booked it. How can the fares be hiked up like that?

I watched Sewing Bee on BBC iPlayer. It was the Japanese Week one.
I fell asleep halfway through so had to rewind. It was good though!

Silver Lining

Although I do not like the wind
I love to watch the trees
from inside of my window
swaying in the breeze
Although I do not like wet weather
and often will complain
I love the sound upon my roof
of a heavy downpour of rain
Although I struggle in extreme heat
and seek a shady nook
I love to sit in dappled light
peace and quiet and a good book
Although I often complain about
the rain or the sun not shining
I do always try my very best
to look for the silver lining

Goodnight Blippers, and thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts. :-)X
