The pen is mighter than the sword

Doesn't the sunshine boost the energy levels, just the thought of going out for a walk is acceptable as it is sunny and warm and luvly :)

Our pooch is getting shorter legs with all the walks at the moment, everyone taking him out at different times and he is not going to refuse, although I suspect after todays jaunt along the Strawberry line he might look at you with very tired eyes if you offered him his lead. Yesterday he was up at the top of Crook Peak with my nearly eldest, I think I need to get him to Blip !!

I was so pleased tonight as I went to sit out in the garden (how warm does that sound ) when I realised the blossom has at last appeared on a few small cherry blossom trees that we have. quite worried that the frost and all the rain would mean our usual beautiful display would not happen this year.

Then even more exciting 4 goldfinches. On many occassions I have caught a fleeting glance of these most beautiful almost tropical looking birds, but never really believed they were 'here' but they most definitely are and that is one aim for the next few weeks while they are busy, to catch a decent pic - I might have to find some teazels, they have a specially designed beak to get to the seeds and love them. I might have to get some especially tough gloves to pick them.
