Hands Like Spades

First day back at work went well, I'm pleased to say, and my new area will be really interesting too.Got a few hugs and lots of people saying how glad they were to see me. Very touching really and brought a tear to my eye on a few occasions. I had to tell them to behave in the end! I really hadn't realised how people felt about me....

Arrived back home to find dad clipping his nails in the garden. He always goes outside to do this, whatever the time of year. Perhaps it's because his nails are so hardy that they fly like missiles whenever they are clipped, so he chooses a safe environment to do it!
