Intent Upon Behaving Badly

It is so nice being back in my studio.  This is my latest piece.  I used a vintage postcard of children from St. Kilda from around 1900.  I've tried two times to visit that distant Scottish island which was abandoned in the 1930's but the weather never cooperated. I bought a series of postcards of island scenes on Lochmaddy in the Outer Hebrides though.  The little girl in the foreground made me smile; she looks quite the character.

My Celtic Summer School is wonderful and yesterday our weekly "field trip" took us to Perthshire, the Birnam Woods in Dunkeld and the Corbenic Poetry Path.  I visited Dunkeld on this recent trip, but I've added the Birnam Oak and Dunkeld Abbey to the list for my next visit.
