The wind dropped

And we were able to walk in the woods after a late lunch.   I mean we could have walked earlier but it was worth waiting and catching golden hour.  We had a colleague of V’s and his girlfriend to lunch

In the evening after they’d gone I made asparagus soup from asparagus gleaned from the fields around now they’ve stopped picking.  Also with chard that I’ve been growing in my raised bed so I felt very locavore. I love asparagus soup - I feel it’s a late season treat when you’ve had enough of spears on their own.
