Meet the Neighbours

Our friends new and very comfortable house was previously rented by workers on the local dairy farm and being the time of year when calves are being born the field that surrounds, on two sides, the house is the maternity field with a few expecting cows. These two briefly stopped and greeted us then resumed their grazing.

The extra I took when we drove down to Portling and, with the tide way out, we wandered along to Sandyhills and back and noticed that the old salmon netting posts are slowly deteriorating and will, in time, disappear.
