Another day out
F and I drove down to West Bay on the Jurassic Coast to look at the contemporary art exhibition at Sladers Yard. We then walked to the Watch House Cafe on the pebbles and had some lunch. Photo taken just outside. The sea is the other side of the pebbled slope on the right. The Chesil Beach stretches for 18 miles from Portland all along the coast to West Bay. Most of it is dangerous for swimming because of the undercurrents but there are several places where one can take a dip. Mackerel fishing too is popular. There were many small fishing boats in the harbour sheltering from the wind - see extra photos.
