Tyne bridges...

...and the Sage.

After a substantial breakfast at the hotel, we set off to do some shopping. The hotel parking charge covered 24 hours, so it made sense to leave the van there and to walk in to the centre of Newcastle. A few spots of rain and moody skies as we walked over the Millennium Bridge, where this photo was taken.

MrM had quite a successful morning's shopping, and acquired several new items of clothing. I bought a couple of summer tops in Fenwick's sale, but that's about it - if I were 15cm taller and several kg lighter, finding clothes to fit would be much easier! Eventually we sat outside at a café for coffee and cake, before walking back to the van. Home in time for tea.
