Our view….

This is the view from the house we are staying in. We have stayed here before and the view is one of the reasons we return.
 Lovely and sunny today despite the forecast saying it would be cloudy. 
It’s always good to see the big boat arriving from the mainland so that you know the shops will be restocked! If it’s bad weather the shelves in the shops get empty very quickly. Also th bakery here closed last year so people have to make their own or wait for it to arrive by boat.  I think all the permanent residents have big freezers! 

We went on a boat trip to see the puffins, which nest on the protected island of Burhou, and also the thousands of gannets on the rocky islands nearby. Difficult to get any good photos as the boat was moving lots due to quite choppy water where the currents meet.
