Today I took the park and ride bus into Oxford and explored the colleges before walking down to the Thames and viewing the punts and riverboats.  It was glorious weather and the city was packed with a mixture of tourists,(mainly American), being shepherded around by guides;  earnest young undergraduates with their equally worried looking parent/s attending the college open days; and a handful of very handsome young men in tails and white bow ties, presumably on their way to graduation.  This is Oriel College where the friendly reps  were so enthusiastic and welcoming and invited me in for a look around.  Oh to be 18 years again!
