...... at the side of the freeway!!!

Bigger Big Fella

We left Houston this morning, heading north for Lake Worth (265 miles give or take) - on the I-45 near Huntsville we rounded a bend to see this enormous statue - after a bit of a diversion we found a way to get up close and discover it was Sam Houston! You can see how big he is compared to the "humans" at the bottom left!!!!

I spoke too soon about the weather - you can all now gloat when I tell you that we left Houston, roof down on the car, with the temperature at around 76F (24C) but arrived in Fort Worth with it barely reaching 50F (11C) - cold and windy and I was in shorts and a t-shirt - bl**dy freezing!!!!!

Lovely day - saw the cattle drive in Fort Worth, had a drive around the local area and feasted at Logans Roadhouse tonight!!!!
