Gilbert doesn't always want to come out for a walk. He lets me know by growling at me and biting my leg if I try and put his lead on! Today was a good day for him. No biting!
Eva's dancing group had been invited to perform at a nursing home this evening. Eva's partner Sophie got chicken pox and Eva was really worried about going on her own but we had a chat about how much the residents would love to see her dancing and about doing things for other people. In the end there were only four dancers as lots of others had dropped out for various reasons so it was even more important for Eva to go! We walked in and there were about 30 elderly people all sat round waiting. I could see the was on the brink of tears and was really nervous but she was so brave and got on with it. The residents were lovely and got so much joy from watching them. One of them came up to say thank you afterwards and got all overwhelmed and got teary! So proud of Eva and she felt so good for doing something for other people. It made my day.
