The old ones are the best ones!
Sorting through photos and collating them today, I’ve used these favourites of mine in a collage!
A full contrast to yesterday, James and I are shattered but happier. The day began with the phone call from the surgery to say that all paperwork was in place and the death certificate forwarded to the registrar, so we will be doing that tomorrow.
Next came a dog walker, who gladly took on the role of a daily walk for Dog when I return to work. Followed by the celebrant who collated the tributes and altered some of the sequences to run more smoothly. And then the man for the bed! We no longer have the bed, which was a constant reminder!
Before we went out to pay for the venue and flowers i uploaded the tribute page and sent out loads of emails, WhatsApp’s and messages letting people know the funeral details. I also posted the details on Facebook for the wider audience. I did wonder what I hadn’t had many messages last week when we posted on B’s page and then shared the post. Clearly it doesn’t get shown to so many people, as when I came to bed tonight, there were over 100 messages and comments! James did some wizardry on the laptop and extracted the song we want and put it into the right format for the crematorium.
I have to confess to rarely reading others journals at this time, but do hope to catch up soon. Thank you all for your stars and hearts. Maurice, thank you so much for your personal email x
