The Birthday Girls
It was another busy day for us as we drove to Hatch End (near Harrow) to join my Mum and her sister in celebrating their birthdays with my sister A and her husband P. We went to an Italian restaurant for a very good lunch. As we were about to leave, the waitress brought out two pieces of tiramisu with candles alight and started singing "Happy Birthday". Here are the birthday girls -my mum on the right who is now 91 (who already had her coat on!) and her sister F, who is exactly six years younger, on the left.
Afterwards , we went back to F's nearby apartment for teas and coffees and to eat the tiramisu, before returning to Winchester late evening. The only one missing from the party was my sister C from Cornwall who is still recovering from Covid although now testing negative. We all hope she'll be able to come to London next week to see A and P before they return to Australia.
