Top Tip

I'd forgotten how stressful this travel business can be. I had an email from Lufthansa this morning just saying our return flight from Munich next week was cancelled. No alternative given, just click here to accept the amendment, or you could contact the Service Center. Which you couldn't of course as there was just a message saying how busy they were before they cut you off. I got daughter#2 to try the German number, but she got the same message, in German I assume. Eventually I got through, had to wait 30 minutes at 10p per minute before speaking to someone I had great difficulty in understanding. Eventually after another 20 minutes of wrangling we got re-booked on a much later flight so I've had to book a hotel room near Heathrow rather than drive back in the middle of the night. We got downgraded too so can't reserve seats and will probably end up sitting apart. Oh well.

My blip? A top tip for you. Order £2.75 roses from Sainsbury's and you will often get upgraded to a better quality substitution such as these long stem roses, normally £5.00. It's these small wins that keep me going at times :-)
