View from the WW2 bunker!

Today I walked some more of the coastal path of Alderney on the south of the island so this view looks out towards Jersey and the coast of France. You can also see Sark and Guernsey.
This bunker was originally built to house a highly sensitive directional radio antenna in WW2.

In 2002 the bunker was restored by the Alderney wildlife trust and has some display boards inside about the old life on the island. It is also a home to nesting swallows at this time of year and ai did see one nest and some swallows flying nearby. It is a good place to stop and look out to sea while having a bit of a rest on the up and down path! I only met one other couple in about 3 miles!

Walked back through the town and bought a few little things including a nice necklace from the very good jewellers here, I’ve bought things from here before including an eternity ring which I wear  all the time.

Now watching a bit of Wimbledon, just had a text from a friend who was on No1 court today and saw Heather Watson winning..
