Amazing skies and Island Coast Path completed!

This shows the place where I continued the coastal path of Alderney this morning. The sky has been so interesting and varied all day. Being on an island it is constantly changing and you can see all around.
The coast path has these markers at intervals and there is a useful map to go with them, see extra. Some people do it one go but I have done it in sections combined with visiting other bays, buildings and various detours back through the middle of the island etc but all completed today.

It is so quiet here as not yet the school holidays but when we visited in 2019 around the same time it was busier and more shops and restaurants were open.  Virtually no one on the beaches even on a Saturday and it was warm and sunny.

Talking to some locals it seems that during the lockdown people from Guernsey bought quite a few properties but now don’t use them much or even let them as holiday lets and, like Cornwall, it is difficult for local people to find anywhere to rent. There are a,so still job adverts for waitresses etc,
