Guilty Pleasure

We spent another day on the beach, this time one bus stop further on from yesterday, at Panormos. It is a longer stretch of beach on the west coast of the island with a few more tavernas; not quite as picturesque as Limnonari but still very unspoilt.

When we went down to the harbour for our evening meal, this super-yacht was moored at the far end.

It is called Guilty and commissioned and owned by a Greek tycoon. The exterior art work is hand painted and was designed by the American artist, Jeff Koons. I shudder to imagine what it must be worth. We walked round for a closer look and the interior is equally eye-catching. More info here:

I had an interesting meal at  a harbour front restaurant of goat stew in a plum and onion sauce. Plums are a speciality of the island and they pop up in all sorts of culinary guises. It was very good!
