Puffins

We had 4 hours on Lunga today.  The weather was perfect, and we were able to sit around enjoying watching all the antics of these birds. There were beak-loads of sand eels coming in, but they were going straight down the burrows. At the Farne islands, black-headed gulls hang around hoping to steal sand eels, but on Lunga it was other puffins who would have taken any chance of a free meal. We saw a few fights; there's a bit of beak wrestling in my extra, but there were fiercer ones.
