At the chest X-ray place
I will spare you a rant on the dysfunction of capitalist medical care and just say that I’ve been off blip for a few days because Sue is ill (not Covid, something else, not life-threatening we hope). We’ve been trying to secure basic health care for her and have met one frustration after another involving blood tests in one place, chest X-rays in another, and systems that do not communicate with each other. She’s still not well, and she still has no antibiotics and no certainty that she needs them (though it seems so), and as this is a stupid holiday weekend during which the last thing either of us wants to do is celebrate the US of A, it looks unlikely that she will get any help in the next few days unless we go to the ER. I’m leaving that call up to her.
We lean into uncertainty and wait. And wait.
