Stressful day

Today started early with L complaining of a tummy ache.

It soon developed into vomiting.. A lot of vomiting. She couldn’t even keep a sip of water down. Then came the headache and dehydration.

After the 10th episode I rang NHS 111 who referred us to an “enhanced pharmacist” who wondered why we weren’t sent directly to A&E.

When we got to the hospital we were rushed through pretty quickly to paediatric triage and then immediately to a little room for treatment. Meanwhile L had her 11th major vom of the day.

Some anti-sickness medication followed 40 minutes later by some rehydration fluids (5ml every 5 minutes) and she finally started to act like L again.

Poor little thing. She’s exhausted. Hope this is the end of it.
