"Till The Boys Come Home"...
....(Keep The Home Fires Burning) ...
...This tattered little scarf was given to my Dad when he was very small, during the
First World War with the words of the song written on it:
"Till The Boys Come Home": It reads:
"Keep the Home fires burning
Whilst your hearts are yearning
Though your lads are far away,
They dream of Home,
There's a silver lining
Through the dark cloud shining,
Turn the dark cloud inside out,
Till the boys come home home"
The Song was really to inspire the families of the men and women who had left their
homes to fight on the battle-fields for the British Empire..
The little scarf would be around 99 years old now...do you remember the song?
..."LEST WE FORGET"...
