Poignant

We took friends V & G (G is on the left in the photo & Michael on the right) on our Sheskinmore walk today. The 3rd walk they have been on with me recently (2nd for Michael, as he had Covid19 the 1st time I walked with V & G recently).
I have known them for about 25 years, as they bought a house near our family holiday home in Portnoo. They live in Eastbourne in later years & managed to travel over  & use public transport  from Dublin to Portnoo 3/4 times  a year over all these years (except during Covid1), quite a feat with no car in very rural Donegal.
As they are getting on in years now (& their daughter has no interest in Donegal) they decided earlier this year it was time to sell, so they put the house in Portnoo on the market  and now the completion date is looming. They are dismantling their lovely home & it is sad to think they won't be around shortly.
They were very glad of an afternoon away from the house (and clearing their belongings) & we even stopped for a drink after our walk. We were glad to help lighten this period for them in a small way.
