Glenveagh Castle
Bubbles & I walked from the visitor centre to the castle at Glenveagh, while Michael was on a geology field trip. Poor Bubbles stuck her head in some undergrowth on the walk & was covered (attacked) by Biddy-Biddy, which is far too common there. Apparently it is from New Zealand, a pity it didn't stay there. Luckily it wasn't prickly, but it took some time to ease it out of her ears, legs, etc.
The blip is from one of the many garden rooms, the garden is lovely, with vegetable crops amongst some annuals & espaliad pears & apple trees in the walled garden.
I didn't do a house tour this time, but have done previously.
Afterwards we went to Glebe House & gallery, the home of artist Derek Hill before he donated it to the State. A very interesting tour of the house with an insight into his diverse art collection.
