2, 4, 6, 8, motorway..

Last day at home with mum on this visit. She hasn't improved any, and she's being looked after well.. Did the early shift today, up at 7, tea, breakfast, more tea, water, up and down stairs..

The m5 motorway was built back in the 60's when I was small, it was a great playground for us kids, dodging the earth-movers, and looking for fossils. The motorway bridge, and several others on the way to Bristol are now in need of maintenance. The cutting through the village went through layers of grey clay, which was full of ammonites, and bivalve shells. We had a chest of drawers full of them, ammonites 6 inches across, bivalves the size of an adult fist, or bigger. They were kept in the shed, which some time ago was pulled down. I'm told that the fossil collection was used as hardcore when mum had a new patio made.

That is really going to confuse archeaologists and paeleologists in years to come..
