Lou's last creative project was to completely redesign her lounge so that everyone  especially Simon, had somewhere comfortable to start to rebuild. Simon has followed her instructions and choices to the letter  down to the specific paint colours and light fitting. Today is the first time I have seen it completed as the shutters have just been fitted.

They have had the weeping fig since they were first married when it was tiny. The framed photo on the wall is a shot Lou took of a floating white feather years ago, it's all that remains of the original lounge features.

It's everything she wanted it to be.
