A New Visitor

......... I was thrilled to see this young female Great Spotted Woodpecker on the nuts this morning as we don’t get them visit very often ;-))

Apparently mum is having more investigations and tests ......... at least they seem to be trying to find a cause this time rather than just sending her home. We haven’t been able to find out any results yet - maybe tomorrow will be more informative as it’s a weekday ;-)
My brother did get to speak to her briefly and said she seemed upbeat which is good. We have decided not to try to visit her this time, as when we have done so before she expects to come home with us and gets very upset when we leave - she seems more settled this way but it does make getting information time consuming and frustrating :-/
