At the Crater

After our very late arrival last night, we had a pretty relaxed morning, Annie and I did a supermarket run and returned for a brunch as the others surfaced. After that, we headed for Þingvellir and had a good walk including enjoying the water fall Öxarárfoss.

A good few miles under our feet, we returned to the cars and drove on to the volcanic crater at Kerið where we did a lap above the crater and then climbed down to do a lap of the crater lake.

Immy and Ollie cooked a lovely veggie pasta dinner and now the card games are out. It’s now 10.20pm and it feels so much earlier with the days so long here this time of year.

A lovely day, rather than just the landscape here is everyone (except me, Chris) on top of the crater.
