Summer?

We had hoped today would be warmer and sunnier but in fact it was very grey and when we set off walking we discovered that there was a cool wind.
We did some successful charity shop scouring and then went down to the St James’ Centre to check out the sales. A had stripped quite a lot from her wardrobe and wanted to get a few staple items to work round. Success there too…and I got two new pairs or jeans in a bargain buy. I’d started out with a really sore lower back but took some painkillers and it soon shifted…I do need to go to either yoga or a physiotherapist though and get my creaking old bones sorted!
Home and I finished the ironing and made fish pie for supper then we took Paisley to the dog field for a good run. Luckily there weren’t dogs in the other fields so she had a good play and tired herself out, and we also gave her a bit of a grooming with a shedding brush which got rid of lots of her undercoat….that will provide some good nesting material for some birds!
Home and we settled down to a homemade strawberry daiquiri before supper and caught up on the latest tv nonsense.
