Shut and Fasten

I took the visiting child to see the islands that she’ll be visiting tomorrow. I had to explain we’ll be going the long way round.  

We hung out in the morning before going to the shop in Dervaig over lunchtime to stock up for the week. B.C and I arrived quite tired from their journey.  In the afternoon we went down to Calgary beach in squally showers. B and I stayed in the car as she’d fallen asleep and they had a quiet walk while E, I S and I climbed up to the abandoned village above the bay (home of David Tennant’s ancestors) and marvelled in the view.  Dinner was jolly, shepherd’s pie and kale, raspberries and ice cream.
