Eileen's violin
Eileen was my mother-in-law. She was an accomplished musician. Her violin has been in our wardrobe since she died 25 years ago. We had it restored recently, and were told it was probably made in Hungary in the early 1800s. Eileen bought it from a dealer in Sydney, Australia, in the 1930s. We really must find a good home for it.
The tension of the strings is one of the myriad complex factors influencing the sound of a violin. The Mono Monday theme today is 'tension'. Thanks laurie54 for hosting.
