Vela Luka to Brna 24km cycling 540m ascent

Last morning in Split, I was panicking about getting tickets for the ferry to Vela Luka, so was up and out early, to get the tickets, croissants, coffee and juice. Mr S was still asleep! We got on the ferry, it was really busy, looks like all E Europeans, Poland, Czech Rep and Hungary all have their summer holidays in Croatia. The ferry went slowly past Hvar on Brac island, looked fantastic. At Vela Luka, we shared a delicious pizza to get us over the hill to Brna. Tough going, in the afternoon sun, but a great run along the coast at the end.
The hotel was great, a professional beach hotel with sunbeds and really lovely sea, lots of swell and so incredibly clear water. Dinner was a buffet, so plenty to replace the day’s calories!
