Burns Beck Moss

It was really chilly and windy today, however we felt an expedition would be good. There were a few patches of blue sky to the east, so we headed over to Burns Beck Moss. It was a mass of wetland flowers but sadly few insects to be seen.
We then explored an area of ‘open access’ land further down the valley. It looks quite promising with a large ungrazed hill and wet areas, but too windy to find much today.
We will hope for improving weather!
